I finally got rid of my HF motor and put a real motor in my car, 1.6L ZC dohc. I'm still using the HF headers and exhaust pipes that were on my old motor. I don't want to drop alot of cash on replacing them, but I want something that'll look nice and add a few ponies as well, any suggestions on brand?

Pacesetter = shit. Trust me. Get a custom one built with a good muffler. I am putting a 40 series 4 chamber Flowmaster on my 85 Si cause the Pacecrapper is cheap and the tip is just nasty looking and i ALLREADY starting to rust, i had it on there for 3 months and its starting to rust. Doesnt sound to bad. I heard one on a 90 Si and it sounded good. I think my cat is cloged so that might be why i am not getting a good tone. Other than that its cheap.

Thermal makes good catbacks for like 250 or so.

well, I did a d16z6 swap in an HF and let me tell you, it is no walk in the park.
If you want a serious A** kicking, do the swap, and after it will feel like someone really did kick your A** literally.
But yeah, it is a whole lot of work and don't really take "it is real easy to do" into effect if you have never done a motor swap.

I dont know how hard it was for the shop to swap out the engine. I know jack about that kind of stuff, or I probably would've done it myself. I paid around 2grand for the entire swap, ZC Motor, SI tranny, SI ECU, New Timing belt/Waterpump, New Clutch, DualCore Fullsize Radiator(the HF radiator is single core and smaller.) I'm still using the HF headers and my 1 1/2" exhaust pipes, thinking about upgrading to 2" pipes. The Engine itself runs like I have never experienced before. I got the car with 150k miles on it, and compared to how it runs now, it ran like ass before. Also you have to take into account that I now have nearly 135hp with Intake as opposed to 70hp in the HF's 1.5L sohc. The shop that did the work is Import Power House in Glendale,AZ.
