I have a 1998 Civic LX, which I bought used in 1999. The car has had no problems (it is at 71000 miles)...but there has been a constant winding noise when the car accelerates and revs up ever since we got it. It is somewhat loud and almost sounds like a "toy winding up!" The engine is fine...normal tune ups, oil changes, etc. What could be the problem? Thanks, Kevin Nichols

Hi Kevin. Have the bearing on your tensioner checked (It's near the compressor and alternator and has one of those "rubber belts" on it). You may have to replace it. -Alain
