Folks, I would appreciate some help / input. 1994 L - Legend Sedan Problem: After the car sits overnight, i get a lot of thick white smoke at start up in the morning. This thick white smoke smells like fuel. After the motor is up to running temp - there is no more smoke. Also there is no smoke after you park and go in to a store for example. Only after sitting for many hours. any thoughts , suggestions, fixes ideas? thanks kaiser

White smoke usually indicates water (coolant) is being burned in the combustion chamber(s); most times it indicates a defective head gasket. Other signs include creamy, milky color oil on the dipstick. If water is entering cylinders, it can seriously damage the engine, and is not a cheap repair.
