Hello, I want to buy tires for my Accord. There are two brand names to choose (almost same price): Bridgestone or MotoMaster. Which one is better? Thanks a lot. Larry

Recently, I had to change my tires from the OEM Michelins. I ended up choosing the Bridgestone Potenza RE950. I immediately noticed a reduction in road noise. Handling seemed similar, though I initially felt that the tires were a bit softer compared to the Michelins. This softness has disappeared with use. Hopefully someone can give you a comparison with MotoMaster. Tae

I've never heard of MotoMaster.. but w/o giving us the model names your considering.. its like asking "which is hotter.. blondes or brunettes" w/o giving examples or names of who your asking.. or like asking whats better honda or toyota.. well you could be asking about a honda civic vs a toyota solara v6... you get the point.. I've never heard of Motomaster so can't comment.. lets talk bridgestone since I've tried several bridgestones in my lifetime...I buy and try tires (and go through them) like some people buy shoes...wehave several cars, and I drive hard so I go through tires quick... w/ that said... I had the Bridgestone Turanza's on my EX V6 accord and I thought they were absolutely horrible... in the dry you could peel out and chirp the tires w/o hardly trying (like 1/4 throttle).. if you floored it you could do a full smoking burn out and leave a huge track... and on turns they would squeal like a pig... I've had the Bridgestone RE92's on another vehicle.. and they were equally as horrible as the turanza's in my opinion.. maybe even worse... had Bridgestone RE950's... decent family car tire w/ some performance/handling characteristics and decent wear/tread life... not a bad tire overall if you drive like a normal person (I don't)... Bridgestone RE750s... good bang for the buck sport tire... they last a good 25-30K and offer pretty good performance for not a large price... Bridgestone Potenza S-03 Pole Positions... I absolutely love these tires.. grippy in dry, grippy in wet, you can carve corners pretty fast w/o a hint of squeal or loss of traction... only downside? they don't last more than 12-15K depending on how you drive.. and they are kind of pricey ($160 on up depending on your tire size)... other than that.. fantastic tire.. as you can see I'm pretty fond of Bridgestone or at least buying and trying them.. other tires I've tried are: Nitto NT450 - avoid at all costs.. even at the low costs.. these tires suck... not much grip in dry and even less in wet.. they last a long time but they suck so much you wish they wore out sooner.. Nitto 555's - ok tire... not bad but I've had better... BFG Euro T/A's (I don't think they make them anymore) - decent tire for the price.. nothing great nothing horrible.. they worked but weren't fantastic or anything.. Dunlop SP Sport 9000 - good in dry and wet.. nice performance tire.. but the RE750 isn't far off from it. .and S-03 and Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3 are better.. Goodyear Eagle F1GSD3 - similar performance as the Bridgestone Potenza S-03 pole positions.. good in dry, good in wet, last a decent while (I only put about 5K on mine but they still have a lot of tread left)... only downside is price i guess... I liked the Yokohama AVS's but I don' think they make them anymore.. Kumho Ecsta Supra 712 - cheap tire.. cheap price.. nothing great to say about them.. Summitomo HTR Z II - between Kumhos 712 and HTR Z II's I'd go w/ the Summi's.. they are cheaper, perform about the same.. maybe a little better but again nothing great.. in the future when my tires wear out and I need another set.. I will be trying either the BFG G-force T/A KDW2's or Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's.. Albert
