Apparently the timing belt broke teeth and bent Valves 1 and 5 on my engine and thus the engine is destroyed. 2000 Honda Accord. Where can I find a cheap engine? The mechanics are saying the cheapest they have in stock will cost at least $5000 for parts and labor. I must go lower than that! Thanks Phil

What part of the country are you from? I have a 94 Accord and I could get one put in (a Japanese engine with under 50,000 miles for around $2000. Look for the Japanese engines. They are also supposed to be built better than the ones in the U.S.
