Greetings....

It seems Westin has now developed a Safari light bar for the CR-V 2002+
(http://www.westinautomotive.com/). Has anyone ordered/installed a Safari
bar on a 2002 and, if so, did you order black or chrome? Are you happy with
what you got? Just curious, how much and where was it purchased? Thanks!

As stated in this Subject title, the Westin Safari bar can be purchased using a link on my main Web Page.  Easy bolt to factory locations.

Just installed it yesterday.

Looks good, I was hoping it would be a bit wider to folow the line of
the front bumper, but it is fine.
The installation is fairly strait forward except for a few things:

1 Where it picks up the frame I used the washers above the mount
rather than as shown because the area is dimpled, and without the
washer you are not compressing the same spot as the factory set up.

2 The bolt they tell you to remove and reuse is a bolt that the
service manual says not to reuse after being loosened.

3 It took a bit of trial and error to cut the splash pan in the right
places.

Cool N_Jay, do you have pictures that you can post on the site?

Thanks!

Bing, you are everywhere. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I will get a few pics (I know I always say that), but I realy will
try.

I always mean to, but am usually squeezing my install between a few
honey-dos, and can't even think to add the few extra minuets to snap
the pics.
Such is life.
Maybe I will get some side by sides with the Pilot when I put that
one on. It's sitting in the den as I type.
