There is a click from the back of the car toward the left side when
the brake is pressed. When the car comes to a stop, there is another
click from the dashboard. When the car moves again, there is also a
click.

This just started happening two weeks ago. All loose objects have
been removed from the car. Please let me know if you have similar
experience. Thanks.

One guy here at this forum told me to spray some silicone spray lube
on the inside of the doors where the hinges were. ( all 4 doors ) I
had a creek when I started and stopped on my 2001 shortly after
purchasing it new. I did that and now the noise is gone!!!

I know what you mean about things like that. I bought a new 2000 vw
jetta gls back in the day and ended up trading it for the 2001 crv se
because I had so many small annoying problems with the jetta. What a
horror story!! Never buy a car (vw) if the dealership is not in your
town!!!! What a mistake, for me anyway.

I hear you on the VW.Owned a 97 VW Quantum. It was living hell.55 gallon drum of silicone spray lube would not help that piece of trash.

The dealer looked at it yesterday and explained that it's working as
designed or normal characteristic. The click behind the dashboard is
from the reverse shiftlock solenoid. The click from the back of the
car is how the brake works on 2002 CRV. Why didn't we notice it for
more than a month after we picked up the car ? I am going to check
with some other groups on the web.

I have the same "problem" with mine. See posting # 3003.
Have you ever tried accelerating (either in drive or reverse) and
with the hand brakes on ? My car started this clicking noise after
this..

Let us know about your findings..

A few weeks ago I posted the same problem on this group. See posting
# 3003.

My car behaves exactly as you describe and my dealer (in Canada) said
exactly the same thing.

I would be curious to know, have you ever put the car in either Rear
or Drive with the hand brakes on ?

The click on mine started after I forgot to release the hand brakes
and started accelerating with the car in reverse.

Let us know wahtever more you find out..
