Hi, everyone!

A couple months ago I bought a new 2000 CRV with the stock CD player.
Only problem is, compared to my old '94 Toyota Corolla with stock
speakers and a Pioneer CD player the CRV sounds terrible. It sounds
thin, flat and weak. Does anyone know, if the problem is:
-The stock CD Player itself?
-The stock speakers?
-Placement of the speakers in the CRV? (the 2 way back in the cargo
area)

Thanks,

Alan

my stock speakers didn't seem too bad for what they are.. they are pioneer
paper speakers i think.. anyway.. invest in some better ones. i am using
6.5" mb quart components in the front and some sony coaxials in the back..
make your cr-v as comfortable as possible and get a nice sound system (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Hi - I have a '97 CR-V, and had the same complaint as you. I upgraded my
speakers front and rear, and have a much improved sound. Adding an after
market amplifier would make a marked improvement, if you want a superb
sound versus an acceptable sound.

I have no problem with my 2000 audio system. Then, I've never believed in
major stereo investments. All I know is-I can crank AC/DC and nothing
crackles or blows!

I installed Pioneer mid grade speakers in the front doors and Boss "red"
speakers in the back. I can crank the sound up full and there is no
distortion, just good clean LOUD music. Too loud for me. Now I listen at
lower volume levels, but the sound is great.
