Hi, all!! I was looking around the 'net for a del Sol owner's group and found this one. :-) I drive a 1993 Si that I bought about 6 weeks ago with a little over 100,000 miles on it. It's a great car that runs like a sewing machine, but it's got this one problem that worries me. When it rains hard (and we're in the middle of Tornada Season in Alabama, so it's raining a lot), I get quite a bit of water stuck in the body somewhere toward the rear. I don't think it's from the roof, because the seals were just replaced last August (I've got the previous owner's service records), and besides, I've tried taking the top out to see if I could find the leak, but it's evading me. :-( The water will stay for about a week, which just can't be good for the body of the car. Does anyone know what causes this or how to fix it? Thanks! Melissa

Hi, I notice that after it rains my '94 del Sol also gets water in it. Mine seems to accumulate in the trunk. For around a year I was convinced that it was leaking in by the read shock tower tops. There was even some rust forming right there, but I could never find the leak. Then I figured out that the car would have water in it whether I drove it or not in the rain - which was weird, since I thought the water was splashing in off the tires as they spun. I think I might have recently narrowed it down the the vertical "wing" things that are on the sides of the rear window. I've been meaning to crack open the service manual, but I've been too busy lately. Assuming all of your drain holes in the bottom of the doors are free from leaves, maybe you have similar leaking into the trunk? Mine soaks the trunk carpet along the left and right sides of the trunk. If it's bad enough though, you might get some water under the spare. I'd be interested in hearing what you find out. Jason, Thanks for the reply!! I double-checked the trunk and spare tire well to be sure (we got another downpour yesterday), but they were both completely dry. In fact, there's not a hint of water stain anywhere to even suggest that they had ever been wet. I agree with you that the water sounds like it is in the wings, so I think I'm going to call the Honda dealership today and see what they can tell me. I can only hope that I get hold of a mechanic who's worked on a few del Sols before... Melissa
