strada f1 kit....

Mine was finally delivered today, ship time was'nt too bad actually.
The problem I have with it {besides customer service} is that the side panels and rear bumper are yellow...and made in japan or someplace overseas, the front bumper is white and made in the USA.I dont know if the only reason the front is white has something to do with gel coat or what the deal is. maybe they used yellow gel coat overseas.I do realize it all needs painted tho....no big deal ,just common sense.

The real problem is that the front bumper {the only white piece} has crappy edges that need to be sanded...but wait ,youre not supposed to sand fiberglass too much...right ?
There are also spider cracks all over the thing, some seperate pretty bad. There are deep grooves in various places that will have to be filled in.
Theres even a spot at the bottom that was obviously damaged during manufacturing, because they filled it in and sanded it down already.
I just wonder how the mounting holes are going to line up ? LOL.....if the fit is anything like the craftmanship.....Im in big trouble ehh ????

I realize that with custon crap...you might have to do some tweaking....but to have to grind, fill and refinish something thats supposed to be new and fairly expensieve....well ,I could never reccomend the company. I called them to see what they were willing to do about it. SHE{hint hint} told me to take pictures and send to them....she said I shouldve looked at it before accepting it.
Doesnt she know that they wont let you open and look at stuff BEFORE signing for it ????tsk tsk.. While im having my credit card company stop payment on the order....Im going to verbally bash the crap out of VIS products along the east coast.
Will file a report with the BBB after the Holidays are over too.
The dont even have an "800 number" for me to use in the future concerning this problem. I told her to keep my number handy....because after they see that they gonna gets no moola...they'll probably wanna call me...LMAO !!!

anyone else have any input on this topic ?
Im sure they have to have ....some good stuff...probably keep that stuff for the west coast.
Look for VIS to change their name soon.

Peace out >>

I got a set of coilovers from VIS on ebay once.... brand new SpecV Seirie II.. love them to death, they were great to deal with. Far as bodykits go, F**K Gude and all they stand for. My ramair hood (only used cause it wasnt a boring stock looker) took about 5 days of prep, fitting, and finish before it was worth shootin good primer on. PLUS it took like 6 weeks for their invalid of a fiberglass guy to make it. Oh well. my 2 cents. happy holidaze =]

Oh but of course! currently trying to sell a well-built up HPI RS4 with a magnesium race chassis, O.S. .15 with lots of mods to the rest of the car. If i dont sell it ($400 O.B.O takes it all) i'm gonna change to quicker servos and FM radio. a lot of us here in the saint albans area are into on-road or off-road stuff. cars are great on all scales.. looking to get into some racing this summer on nice paved lots?? oh, and if you need any parts whatsoever lemme know, our shop will hook you up! soon as the pumps are on my impala i'm gonna finish the civic out... later!

hey cool ! I dunno why...just had a feeling you might be into r/c.I recall SEVERAL people from up your way that were in r/c pretty big.I think a few of them got away from the little stuff and started playing around with the big toys...as a motter of fact ,we bought a lot of stuff that wasnt good enough for them anymore...plenty good enough for us to thrash around.I used to pittle around a little with it....mostly electric though.still have a few trucks....one gas.still have the turbo thirty...kinda outdated stuff now I guess....tire truer and com lathe. ahh....the good old days of inhaling tire compound....LoL {cough cough}. did some off road stuff too .Never could really afford to play like the big boy's did.
Is the old NGK plant in business....for r/c that is ?
I hear the tri-oval track in King NC is reopening....or just reopened ,dont remember which, that place used to kick major butt too.
An Impala...thats awsome man. I assume its an older one....60's.My parents had a '66 Impala when I was a kid....wish they would've kept it. I think the '62-'64 are about the most popular these days...depending on what you wanna do with it.I have my fathers '66 pontiac tempest custom...hence ,the name >>the mad tempest,LoL. I think Im gonna make a street rod out of that one...one of these days.
Probably should restore it to original...I have all dad's paperwork and shop records from the last 35 years for it too, kinda worthless stuff if I convert it to a rod...I dunno.

well....take it easy !

Just so you will know in the future. V.i.s racing is not at fault. They do not make the kits they sell.Tey order them from another company. Also sense they already approved your credit card for the roder 9 times out of 10 your stuck with the kit. Telling them your not going to pay for it they will most likely won't be willing to work with you on the problem now. By the way a godd body shop should be able to make it lookb like new.I bought the blitz kit from them after the body shop primes and sands then paint it you won't ba able to tell anymore.
