I just purchased a 2000 Honda HR-V with 51,000 miles. I replaced all 4 tires. Took the HR-V to the shop for an aligment since the company that sold me the tires do not do aligments. I also ask them to check for the inability of the car to go straight at any speed. I have to keep correcting constantly left and right to go in a straight line. I was told that the front wheel bearings were loose and needed to be re-packed and adjusted. No other problem was found with the front end. The work was done, but the problem is still the same . Can anybody tell me why this HR-V wont keep straight. Thank You!

I have yet to hear of this particular problem. You may wat to take your vehicle to another shop to verify that your wheel are aligned properly. Also, did they check the mount on the tires. Also, check the air as well. Hoever, if your vehicle is going to both sides of the road, then the two latter may not be your problem.

See, I'd have said the alignment for sure! Take it and have it checked out again and make sure the ones who put your tires on didn't adjust the tires incorrectly. See if you can find some one that does it all!

Any bumps in your tires? I had a similar problem, after an alignment and cv joint replacements, I discovered one of my tires was bad, I had hit a curb which produced a bump. They replaced the tire, said it was defective.

Wow! I hadn't thought about one bad tire causing that much trouble. I guess that puts a whole new twist to one bad apple can spoil the whole bunch.

its very possible that the car was in a accident that the seller did not disclose to you. do a car fax report on the vehicle at least that way you can rule it out. all the regular service for that problem has been done according to your post. that is the last resort thing i would do. it might save you alot of money in the future.
