I have just joined the Honda CRV group and it is very informative.
The problem of 2002 availability seems to be the same here Downunder
(East Australia) as it is over there. The dealers have no 2002s
available for a test drive and there are only 400 units coming in the
middle of January. A dealer told me that another dealer had 1000 firm
orders at the start of this year. It looks like there might be some
more coming in around April. A 2002 has been spotted in Western
Australia on the road but they are 3000 miles closer to Japan. So far
the dealers have not bunged on a premium here but we shall see.

It's good to see another Aussie in here!

I live in Brisbane, havn't seen one up here yet...

You start to wonder wether supply is deliberatly kept short initially, a lot
of people will pay more to be the first....

Hi fellow Australians. I have seen a few 2002 Honda CR-V at Robert
Lane Honda in Brighton, Melbourne. They seem to have at least 1 for
test drives.
