I have a new 2002 on order. Could someone please tell me if they
really can be towed behind an RV.

Please email me at: questcom@...

There is a section in the owners manual that tells you exactly how to
do it.
Seems like a bit of a procedure, but since it is printed it must be
OK.
Has to do with starting the car, then selecting certain gears in a
certain order before each tow, and redoing the procedure every 8
hours for long tows. It also shortens your trans fluid change
interval.

I tow my 2000 CR-V behind our motorhome. It's very easy, all I
have to do is let the car warm up (about15min), hitch the car to the RV
and put the car in neutral. But keep one thing in mind, Honda told me to
use the magnetic tail lights, or they would void the warranty and the
wiring harness to the tail lights, so I did this. Everything works great
for me. I also use the Stowmaster tow bar that I can fold down on the
front of the car. Hope this helps you out, if there is anything else I
can help you with , I will.

There was a class action lawsuit that I got info on about towing a CRV behind a motor home, and the transmission destroying itself even though the directions in the manual were followed.....I never towed, so I never looked into it....

Do you have a manual or automatic transmission.

If I ever were to tow a vehicle behind a motorhome, I think i'd look into
purchasing a full trailer for it. It wears just as much on everything but
the motor and you don't have the joy of actually driving it to wear it out.

I have an automatic, 15000 mile, and no problems.
