We have 2 CR-Vs, a 1998 LX 2WD and a 1999 EX 4WD. My wife drives the
'99. Her CR-V came with Goodrich tires. Worn out to replacement level in
22,000. The dealer rotated the tires at 7,500 and 15,000, so I suppose
they were ready to be rotated again, but by that time, the wear bars were
very apparent on the front tires. We replaced them with Toyo.

I drive the '98. I have 42,000 miles on it, with the stock
Bridgestones... These tires were rotated every 7,500. It needs tires now too.

My car seemed to have more road noise on the bridgestones than the wife's
with the goodrichs. OTOH, the bridgestones lasted a reasonable amount of
time. What have the group's experiences been?

The 99 EX seems to be harder on the front brake bads, too? Is this the ABS
or just my wife's driving?

You probably won't believe this but I'll tell you anyway because it's the
truth -
'98 EX auto
I just replaced the factory Goodrich tires at 115,653 miles and there was
still tread left.
I rotate @ 3500mi and drive a fair amount on interstates.
I can't explain it but I'm not complaining.

Terry, you must drive your car very gently. I don't have that much self
control but I have seen more than one person getting 100K+ miles from a set
of tires before.

My '97 had BF Goodrich tires, and it was noisy. I switched to the Michelin
"X" and have been very pleased. These tires have a 6 year wearout warranty,
great grip in all conditions, and are considerably quieter than the originals.
