do you have to raise the engine off the mounts to
replace the timing belt on a 97 "V' or not?. Thanks

You do not do it, per se....

What you do is put a block of wood between a jack and the oil pan and
take the weight off of the mounts.

You do have to remove the driver's side motor mount. When I did the
timing belt on mine, the mount came off very easy.

If you are asking this question, then it sounds to me like you do not
have the Honda (Helm) Service Manual for your CR-V. If you're going to
be doing a timing belt, you'd be advised to get the manual FIRST!!

Hope that helps!!
