I put down a deposit on a 2002 black CRV EX auto 2 weeks ago and
received a VIN#. It was pre-assigned to the dealer on 4/18 and it
hasn't moved, so 3 weeks without a change in status. It hasn't
arrived at port and the dealer says that they really can't track it
until it reaches port.

Is there any way to determine if the vehicle has been built or where
it is?

Same story here in Arizona. I placed a deposit 4/13 for a mist EX.
I was told that it should be here by May 1. When it didn't arrive I
was told 2 more weeks. I have been told it was on the truck and
today they tell me June 5. The dealer says they use a list of
available. I know they recieved some on May 1 and some since then.
I think I am getting the slip on the list. They keep trying to get
me to take a black, blue or silver one as they are not sold when they
hit the lot.

I want it now and am getting ready make a deposit at another dealer.
