i have a 93 integra gs with stock motor in it the ls and my car keeps getting real hott and the heat is not kicking in once the car hits red the heat somtimes kicks in soo i cahnged the thermostat and it seems to not get hot soo fast but am still having the issue any advice on what it is or any imput on my problem

Could the thermostat be sticking? Other than that I would have to agree with the above posters and check your raditator. Are you missing any water in the overflow tank?

make sure you have coolant in the radiator whtihout it the car will warm up but will blow out cold

i dont know about an overflow tank because i dont run with one in the hatch i have the hse blocked off and i dont have any problem at all with heating

I second that. Earlier this year I had my Civic in the shop for another matter, and the mechanic showed me how the outer rad material was flaking away from rust and corrosion. I made arrangements to replace the rad right away.

And at that point, I wasn't noticing any overheating.

So have you had any luck figuring out what the problem is? I hate heating problems like this because it really could be more than one thing.
