Hey all, Heres an update on my rebuilding process. Right now I have all of the parts cleaned up and painted, the block has been honed, the head has been done( port & polished, valves replaced of ground, cleaned, etc. It was warped so the bottom had to be shaven flat again), the crank shaft has been redone, I have all new piston rings, bearings, seals, and gaskets as well. I had one cracked piston and that comes in on Thursday, but the other 3 are in right now, with the crank of course. So far everything is going very smooth, no problems at all. Ill keep you all posted. Also, with like 3mm shaved off the bottom of the head, the compression will be higher... is this even noticeable? i doubt it but its quite a difference. Also, the bushings in my suspensin look more like shredded wheat than rubber. Can you get a complete bushing kit or do you have to buy them all individually? If anyone knows, how much? Thanks, DuffPaddy DuffPaddy '88 Honda Accord LX rebuilding engine...

Hey DuffPaddy, If you find somewhere to get a complete bushing kit please let the list know. I haven't been able to find one yet. I know you can get them for the newer cars. Also what do you think the rebuild on your engine is gonna finally end up costing you? I need to do mine but I don't know whether to do it now or put it off. It all depends on the cost. Later Bryan

I havent been able to find polyurethane bushings for 3rd gen accords. Dumbutt Jegs has my endlinks on backorder. I'm getting the endlinks off a 3rd gen civic to use on my accord. Hope it fits, if I ever get it.
