Hey all,
Heres an update on my rebuilding process. Right now I have all of the
parts cleaned up and painted, the block has been honed, the head has been
done( port & polished, valves replaced of ground, cleaned, etc. It was
warped so the bottom had to be shaven flat again), the crank shaft has been
redone, I have all new piston rings, bearings, seals, and gaskets as well.
I had one cracked piston and that comes in on Thursday, but the other 3 are
in right now, with the crank of course. So far everything is going very
smooth, no problems at all. Ill keep you all posted. Also, with like 3mm
shaved off the bottom of the head, the compression will be higher... is
this even noticeable? i doubt it but its quite a difference. Also, the
bushings in my suspensin look more like shredded wheat than rubber. Can
you get a complete bushing kit or do you have to buy them all
individually? If anyone knows, how much?
