After 70K on the BF Goodrich's I was due for new. After listening to a lot of dialogue on the issue the Yokohama 235/60/15 sounded like a good choice. Well I guess I didn't do enough homework, as I've had them for a week and I'm not liking them much. The width does look good and there is nothing that inhibits turning, however from the side they look small. They don't fill the wheel well to my liking. They seem to lower the my crv by about an inch. This makes getting to the roof rack easier, but I miss setting higher while driving...I know an inch sounds subtle and I was away they would be small, but didn't think it would be this noticeable. The biggest problem I find is using the stock wheels. I have the aluminum which I like and didn't want to spend to get a different size. These tires balloon out on the sides both inside and out too much and don't feel stable while driving/turning...sorta like riding on jello. The sidewall tread may not be very strong either. These were inexpensive. I've also noticed less take off torque and seemingly less power, which could be due to the increase in friction because of greater width. Anyway, I now wish I had stayed closer to stock size, like a 215/70/15. I miss the stiffness of the stock and I certainly didn't need to loose any power.
