Steering responds fine, no shaking or shudders, but a VERY LOUD squealing noise most often when exiting the highway, occasionally on a 90 degree turn. This noise comes from in front of the steering wheel as if from the dash or in front of it.

Sounds kind of like a dog whining.

Any experience with this?

Have you checked your power steering fluid lately? Other than that it almost sounds like a belt of some sort whining. Sorry I cannot be of more help.

I think I've heard that sound lots of times when someone's making a very sharp turn.

I'm not a mechanic, but I wonder if the sound is from the power steering belt slipping?
