Honda Civic is giving some kind of burnt smell after we go out on a drive and head back home. Can anyone tell me what could be the reason for this??

Hey ammulu, if it turns out it's not from the tires, I'd check the fan belt and possibly for some leaking fluid that's burning after leaking onto a hot engine part.

Good luck with that.

Could you be leaking brake fluid maybe? I know that sometimes that can leak around the tires. Not sure if it would smell or not though.

Does this happen mainly in the front or the back of the car. I get the smell from some place near the back tires. I better check out at the dealer tomorrow at the earliest. I hope all is fine. I got my servicing done today and they checked everything and said that all is fine. But I would rather have a clear view tomorrow to see if it is fixed. Thanks for helping.

Best of luck with that. Hopefully it's nothing major, and if there's a leak you should probably check your fluid levels regularly.

I know sometimes in tight traffic you can sometimes smell someone else's vehicle, just to confuse things too.

Yeah thats true. It might even be someone else's car smell and not mine. Better be careful though. I don't see anything leaking below. It seems to look good but need to check what that smell is for.
