I'm wondering how my new CR-V will handle snow here in the northeast.....has anyone used Blizzarks snow tires in the winters? Are they needed or are the original M/S tires good enough?.....Charly

Not if you live in Buffalo, NY (42 inches of SNOW!!) chuckle - chuckle, but for added protection in snowy areas the tirerack.com sells the snow tires ALREADY MOUNTED on steel wheels at AN EXTREMELY low price!!  This way you could switch the tires and wheels depending on the season.  I would get the phone number for the tirerack.com and call, you might be pleasantly surprised how affordable a snow tire/wheel package is.
HERE IS THE TIRERACK NUMBER,

Hi guys. I just brought my new Honda CR-V 4WD back from Virginia to Atlanta
on Sunday, and I awake this morning to ice on the streets. I understand the
4WD will kick in automatically. I will strike out for work in about 3
hours...any advice?

Your vehicle may be able to negotiate slippery stuff. You may be able to
safely handle said CRV. However, the other drivers out there may not.
Watch out for total fools who have no regard for their own safety, much
less yours. Always drive DEFENSIVELY.
