anyone else had this problem? It's happened 3 times so far. It only happens just after I start my car before it's had a chance to fully warm up. I will try and accelerate up to 9,000 rpm, and it seems/feels like it kicks me out of gear right around 6,000 rpm. After the car has fully warmed up, the problem no longer exists. I know now not to try and accelerate like that till my car is warm, but I was just curious to hear if anyone else has noticed or documented this particular problem. Thanks in advance. Hi, I have never experienced that problem with my S2000. I have a 2001 and have never had any problems with it. I love the car. It is so much fun to drive. I have won five trophies at car shows with it. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine.                                                            Thanks for asking,

Dan, There is nothing wrong with your car. This is normal and it is not slipping out of gear. When your car is not fully warmed up, it will lower your rev limit to around 6k rpm. This is sort of a safty feature as not to allow you to harm the engine before it is up to normal operating tempature. It's really a good thing that this happens! I thought the same thing when it first happen to me.
