to get in you car after the door handles have been shaved you usually will install a door cylinoid, or "popper" all it does is have a cable that runs from it to your old door latch inside the door, when you send it power it puls the door handle inside the door down and thus poppind the door open, but if you are going to have you door handles shaved make sure to have a quality body shop do the work because honda door handles are nortioruos for warpind after they have ben welded on id the welder got a little to happy with it, well good luck

Don't even consider a POS civic with shaved door handles.  Don't buy some one elses problems...
