I am thinking seriously about getting an '03 or '04 S2000. I am curious as to what kind mileage to expect out of the OEM tires. I realize that mileage can vary by how one drives the car, but would like to hear what some of the members of this list have experienced. Thanks in advance.

you will not get very good mileage on any, repeat, any set of rear tires. maybe 15-20k that is it - period. i have michellen pilots on mine now and i never spin the tires of rough drive. even so, that is just the way it is - low weight, high torq and good horse power equals no mileage on tires. other than that, it is a wonder car, runs well, handles nice, easy to maintain. harold hicks

Its a culmination of things, First off They have a high compression setup with monster VTECH Cam Profiles, The head Is a high effiency design which flows fast and mixes the Fuel/Air very well, The motor's Internals are balanced and lighter weight than most. There are very little intake and exhaust restrictions And the engine "breathes" perfectly. I know of a turbocharged S2000 that gets 942 Hp!!! And it's still a 2 liter!
