It's a damn shame when people feel the need to express anti-civic
opinions in response to a legitimate question on a civic group.
Especially when said people have occasionally shown some brains in
the past. Nobody finds blatent rudness the least bit funny, and it
certainly isn't going to cause the person asking the question to
suddenly go out and trade his car in for what others deem suitable.
So why not give everybody a break, back off your high horse and focus
on what this group is for, Honda Civics. They may not be the best
sports car available, but what they are is a great starting point for
many people into the world of modifying and personalizing cars. The
fact is the Civic is a damn fine car and not a piece of shit as is
often stated by some here.
To try to help with the question at hand, I have a few of my own. Is
it possible that it is simply losing traction and spinning the tires
a bit when you give it more throttle? Has it always done this? If
not, how long has it been doing it and how many miles on the clock?
Have there been any changes to the drivetrain? Is it a manual or
auto transmission? My '95 EX with manual tranny and some mods would
spin it's stock size tires effortlessly in first gear if I stomped on
it, sometimes with some tire hop.
Maybe after you give us a little more info about the problem some
others here with more mechanical knowledge will give more help than a
simple minded "it just sucks".

PS. I really enjoyed my Civic. It was a fun, light, lively car to
drive until some stupid unattentive(or stoned)bitch took it away from
me and almost killed me in the process. I have to say after being
rear-ended at 65mph, slammed into a suburban, then knocked into
oncoming traffic and another head-on collision with a freakin Lincoln
Navigator that Civics crash well!!! I was released that same night
from the trauma ward with only minor internal and external injuries
and amazingly nothing broken.
Ya'll be careful out there!
