Both front and back are both 6-1/2", but I think the front speakers sits on a plastic seat and the hole of the back of the woofer is pretty small, less than 4" in diameter, so don't buy a pair of front speaker with large magnets because it won't fit through the hole and you'll end up making a custom cut. Back spearkers will fit 6-1/2".

hello all still considering the RSX... half waiting for any news on the type R, half fighting with my green conscience that tells me the RSX is excess and I can do much better in an Insight... anyhow, i'm still curious about a couple of things and i was hoping folx would be kind enough to chime in... 1. what are usual RPMs going 75-80mph? 2. what is the power of the stereo head unit? (is it as cool as it seems?) 3. what are people averaging in miles per gallon? 4. what is the worst thing one has to live with while driving/owning an RSX? thanks in advance! marcus

well, let see what I can remember, 1. I think the RPM is around 2500 at 70mph, and barely over 3000 at around 85. 2. The head unit is so so, it's lit up all red just like the dash which is pretty cool, and it's just like any other stock headunits, very simple. I'm not sure about the output from the headunit, but there is a factory amp sitting underneath the backseat, unfortunately, I don't remember the output on that either, my head is telling me 200 or 20, might want to check the car audio groups. 3. My gas milage is around 30, I went 330 miles the other day before the light came up and added 11.6 gal into the tank. I do a lot of highway driving though. 4. Worst thing to live with? As far the car goes, I love it, it's very nimble and fun to drive. It's a little sluggish accelerating until you hit about 3000 and then it just zooms, I heard you can fix that with some mods like a CAI or a exhaust upgrade, yet to see it for myself. Ride is a little bumpy because the tight suspension, but the damn thing feels like it's glue to the road, not a bad trade off. The only thing I don't like? The transmission is a little uneasy at picking gears sometimes, especially in local driving, probably a little too much downshifting, not sure, me not smart enough to be a mechanic, and oh, the dealer here, call in 2 weeks ahead for an oil change, so they must be getting good beez. hope that helps, it's really a fun car to drive, did you test drive it yet?

I got my Acura RSX Type-S in the Artic Blue with 3 miles on it for $18,950. I got it at wholesale which meant i didn't have to pay any dealer fees or their Holdback. I picked it up at a dealer but they didn't make any money off of me because I am the dealer. Their is only engine noise, no wind noise......

I had explained that I bought it straight from a dealership in April...it is a 2002. After you subtract dealership holdback and such, the car isn't that expensive....and that goes for any car

o.k... but how did get them to agree to such a deal? even through a local credit union's program (which basically sets up purchases at invoice level for their customers) i've only been able to get a quote of $21000 and change (for a 2003)... (btw, what state are you in? would the pricing vary?) marcus

Dude, I'm in Pa, just pay for the RSX...$21k and change isn't that bad....why would you want to buy a $23k car for $18k? This isn't a Ford Focus....you want your car to maintain value. If the whole country can do what i did, the value of acura/honda would decrease and not just the 2002, but the 2001,2000,1999, and so forth. Besides, since when is Profit a bad word?
