Every since i installed a new timing belt on my 97 "v"
I have hard cold starts and a slight miss @ idle.
Anyone with some good sugestions. I already have the
service manual and have read through some of the
trouble shooting guide, but nothing seems to fit.

methinks you might be off by one cog and be either advanced or retarded*.

* In terms of the timing belt.

Did you replace before or after it broke?
