Here is the deal with that tire/rim set up. If
you leave your car at stock height, you will have no
rubbing, but the front rims/tire will stick out past the
fender about 1/4" as an estimate. Now, if you lower the
car, you will still be OK with rubbing issues, and the
negetive camber as a result from the lowering will allow
the front tires/rims to tuck, or be flush to under
the front fender. However, if you ever plan on
correcting the camber with a camber kit, the front rims will
start to stic kout again, and also you will have very
little room for camber ajustments. How do I know this?
Because I had a 38mm 17X7 rims that I got from another
Legend owner. We put that on my firends Legend Coupe,
and the above is what I've observed. I run a 17X7
with a +46mm offset, and I am borderline acceptable. I
do have a camber kit, and I can only correct to
about negetive .5. Anything further then that, and my
rims in front will begin to stick out, not to mention
I'll start to have all sorts of rubbing problems. Do
as Dave C mentioned. Get an offet of no less then
+45mm. I personally aways suggest +48 - +50 though.
