Hi everyone, I'm here to learn all I can about doing an engine swap on my 98 civic. I'm leaning toward a B18c but only because that's what I've been told is the best. You see this is my first import & I want to make it a monster even if it is a 4 door. I will be doing the swap myself & want only the best. If anyone out there has any advise please speak up. Thanks for reading.

If i may suggest. B18c is not a motor you would be wanting to put in on your first swap. Theres alot of stuff involved alil bit more then what a b16 motor would be. if i may, i believe you would have a very easy first exp with a B16a2 99-00 Civic Si motor. Alls you need is the si rear mount and it drops right in. But make sure you have the si shift linkage, axles, and header. Because your header and axles wont work. But it will pretty much drop in and go. You can plug and drive. you just have to wire in vtec. but for a 4 door with a 160hp 8k redline it would be a blast.
