Hi guys, I'm still using my stock (gasp!) radio/cassette player, and I'm finally thinking of getting something else in it's place. I have a TON of MiniDisc equipment at home, but not in my car. I noticed that the MD reciever prices are falling over at Crutchfield, and I'm finally considering picking one up - probably the Sony Xplod MD player (not recorder). I don't care too much about the new 4x technology, all my recorders are currently the old 74 minute type, so that's not an issue. I guess my question is - has anyone had any issues with fitting a new radio in the del Sol? I'm thinking of grabbing the Sony Xplod MD, but it has a flip down face to put the MD in - are there any problems with the Honda flip up cover? I never use the thing, but it doesn't seem like there's enough room to flip a faceplate down in that space. Is the radio opening one of those DIN sizes? Has anyone hacked the stock radio's CD changer controller to make it work with other non OEM changers? I have an MD portable that (yeah yeah) I can use with the cassette adapter, but it's a huge pain having wires all over my lap, then have to fumble around while driving to change a song. Anyone know the resistance/jumper to get the stock controller to accept just stereo line inputs and maybe next/prev track? Jason Jason_Dickinson@...

i haev a sony flip in my sol too-- it folds almost all the way down before it hits the flap, but it has more than enough room to swap a cd in /out. here-- read some articles i made up for sol audio:   http://ecdelsol.importrides.com/audio/
