Hi
My 2003 Odyssey EX driver side break light was out, from the owner's manual, I removed 2 screws close to the tailgate, but seems there are the third screw inside the taillight assembly which I cannot figure out how to remove before I can pull out the taillight assembly. can anybody help?
Thanks

Use a flat screwdriver to open the covers, remove the screws, and slide the assembly back from the body. Now, the covers will be lifted easily, the screws would come out, and the tail light assembly will moves freely in most directions - except back. In this case, Pull straight back, wiggling, in the direction of the arrow. It helps if your fingers aren't too dry and slippery. It takes a bit to make the stud let go of the grommet. Careful now! You don't want to strip the wires when it does let go!

After replacing the lamp, put a dab of Sil-Glyde or other silicone grease on the stud before popping it back in place. This will aid in future removal.

Good luck!

The instructions for the brake light repair are perfect. One extra screw was giving them trouble. Now, they have silicone grease to make it easier to remove next time. You can use that around the house too for screws an other things that won't move. Our house has plenty of those.
