I'm thinking of installing power locks on my Honda 93 4D sedan - anyone tried it? Is it easy and worthwhile? Kits are available but it could be too much of a bother.

hey... installing power door locks isn't too harsh... if you take it easy and have some mechanical sense it is rather easy as teh doors are already set up (at least the one i did, '92 civic)... i don't know of any kits, but the best way to go is get stuff from a dismantling yard... they have the donor cars on site and usually it is easy to get the right parts, not to mention tons cheaper... hope that helps! marcus

Hey Marcus, thanks for encouragement and info. I moved away from big city so junk yards with those precious parts are hard to come by where I live. I will get stuff from JCWhitney.com - they have those kits and will give it a try. Appreciate, Tom

no problem... its too bad about the junkyard option, taking it apart is usually half the battle... i would recommend (something i didn't do because i was dumb) is take pics of a friends set up (front and back) that way while you are working you have a guide... just a thought... marcus

It's super easy and I recommend it. I have them on my 1991 Civic Hatch.
