I don't really expect this can be fixed without replacing the rear window, but I thought I'd run it past the folks here.

My 89 Civic has a section in the middle of the rear window where the embedded defrosting wires don't seem to work. It's in the middle of the window, and it eventually defrosts as the car interior warms up, but not as fast as the rest of the window.

Does anyone have any suggestions, other than replacing the whole unit?

Might want to check and make sure that they are grounded correctly, my ef did the same thing here the wires going to the defrost were not pluged in, i pluged in and still didnt work till i grounded it.
