Cool Stuff, I didn't even know that there was a hoo, must check.

Does anyone know, or can anyone tell, when the Real Time 4WD kicks in???
I've had my CRV for awhile now, but cannot tell when the 4WD kicks in. It
just seems like it never engages for me. It skids more than I'd expect. I
have the EX so I'm sure I have the 4WD.

It is supposed to transfer drive to rear when either of the front wheels slip
(lose traction).

Neither did I felt the difference with my A/T . Last Saturday I came out from a
45% inclined basement. Since the car in front of mine sudenly stopped. I had to
hit the brake and lose my forward momentum. Stuck in (D) drive I couldnot make
the crv move and felt it slipping. It was when I shifted to 1st Gear did the crv
started moving so when will the RT4W kick in ???

Halfway I had to

I understand that but it just doesn't seem like it does. It skids more than
once when it rains on the same drive. Given it detects on the first or
second skid, it shouldn't skid on the third or fourth time on the same
drive. One more thing, how does one know when the RWD turn off? Thanks.

Hey.......................... RWD is not an excuse to go fast in the rain. IT
is just like any other car in the rain. You didn't buy a wonder machiene for
20 grand. Rwd is ment for snow and icey road or even slippery roads that
extend for a period of time. This use for a sec and they want it back off
again thing doesn't work. How many 4wheel drives do you know of anyhow that
will engaged at 60 miles an hour. So for further referance if you wanted a
hummer go buy a hummer.....................
