hey glenn,

i need some advice here. what's my best bet for a decent muffler and/or exhaust pipe? how much should i expect to spend and what type should i get? ...i'm assuming that if i order one from a honda dealer it would be way more expensive than if i bought one from a shop.

thanks!

I would go with a custom bent 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 inch pipe from the cat back. The size depends on if your car is lowered or not.
For the muffler I have a Flowmaster 2 chamber which is pretty loud, but you can get the 3 chamber for the same price and it is a little quieter.
That is what I suggest.
Glenn

Stay away from flowmaster......go with a tanabe style muffler like a tsudo....2" or 2 1/4 piping....2 1/2 is too big for our lil cars..itll make ur car slower...for full system go GReddy ro dc

I have some sound bytes(If i can find them) Of a 1st gen with a ZC with just a flowmaster, it sounds SOOO nice, deep and mellow. He said when its cold it sounds tinny, but after it warms up its sweet sounding. I am going with a 40 series 2 chamber. I am set on getting it, No stopping me. If it sucks then i will take it off and get a Dynomax. I have a 1st gen so i dont have much of a selection!
