I would like to know what the Pro's and Con's are on the 1999 an 2000 Honda Accord 4 cyl. and 6 cyl. are and if any of the Accords made in 1999 an 2000 had or are having trouble in any way with them and what to look for in these 2 years?

I am looking at great mileage per gal. and one that has great pick when taking off ( " NO DOG " ).
How is the ride in them? Are the expensive to work on? Where do they have the most problems?

I just got a '99 (4 door) EX w/auto trans. It rides just fine. The first long trip I took in it I go about 31 MPG with limite A/C use.

Hondas are not cheap to repair if there is a problem, but the scheduled maintenance is probably pretty much the same as any other FWD car. They do better if they have been cared for. If not.... Check the maintenance record if you can or have someone familiar with Hondas check it out for you if it makes it past your inspection.
