My automatic 2001 civic ex is having major trouble catching gear. It wont catch sometimes, itll just rev up high...like im in neutral, but the car will be idling. It grinds like no other when going into a gear now. Sometimes while im on the road, it wont accelerate, it will just rev really high and after a while it will grind into first. Same thing with second and third gear. Im now afraid to drive the car. Can someone please tell me whats wrong?

It might be that your clutch is already worn out. I'm not that 100% sure though, let's see other's comments on this one.
