Wow i couldnt believe that there are 2 people younger than I. 22, and 21 gees! How do you afford a $35,000 car. I just started a job full time right out of college and hit it nice on the stock market to be able to afford this car. Not that i dont commend you for getting one just the ability to get your hands on one says enough! I love my car and torque is not a problem as many had said. I hit 140 with out a problem it was super flat super straight and little down hill boy i felt like the top was going to fly off! it was really flat so that the back end wouldnt get upset. Boy can you get from 70 to well over 100 in seconds making the cars next to you just a twilight in the rear view mirror. jim

RE: [s2000ownersclub] Peoples Ages. For those who were able to pay off the car in one shot great! Simon glad you had the funds to put toward it. Hay what kind of ranges did people start their cars from? Im not looking to poke fun at people who payed premiums or things like that im just currious. I started out at MSRP but was made to buy the Spoiler, CD changer, and pin striping all comming to a 1850 over MSRP to start from. Ya i got the car for MSRP but the options killed me. I'll take the aero screen in the spring when i have more money or maybe it will be a birthday present. jim

I paid $44k -- low supply high-demand in the Bay Area. The car was actually marked at $46k - $10k Dealer Markup + other crap. I got him to throw in a CD changer, floor mats, ashtray, StarGuard (? not sure how to spell it) and security system. -S
