How much would it cost to repaint a car? I am not sure of the exact prices as I never got it done before neither do I know anyone who already got it done before.

A few years ago, I had major body work and a great new paint job done. If I'm not mistaken I think a very basic paint job would have started at around $400.

Does that sound about right?

$400 is OK but I want to know if there are any chances of getting it at a little less rate. May be I would even check out locally for stores which provide this service. Now I have a little idea about what could be the range approximately.

I actually think that $400.00 is a good price for a paint job on a car. I thought my brothers was way more than that when he got his painted.

It is costing me here around $500 but not $400 they want a bit more but exactly to mention they want to do it for $460. I am planning to go for it as that is the least amount I could find.

There's a very important point about whether body work needs to be done.

Even filling rusty areas with body filler instead of metal will not last as long. My Civic's starting to rust a little more now, but I'm glad I went for the body work too, especially since I still plan to drive it for a while.

I would say go for it because that sounds like a great price to me. So what color are you going with?

I like red which I feel would give a great look but my husband wants it to be Silver. Currently it is blue but rusted too. I would surely get the body work done Taggart, it seems really important when we pooling in so much money for paint let it be done perfectly right.
