Hi,

I have a pearl blue 2k TL. What happens is that the hood has a lots of small white dots. I was complaining to the dealer, the service advisor insists that those are paint chips. And give me the usual 'wear & tear' story. Anyone here seen the same problem? Is there a web site I can contact Acura about this? Because I don't want to deal with the local dealer around here. Any input is appreciated.

-Stephen

Hey Stephen,

I guess that you could just log on to www.acura.com and fill out a form or something like that, and they might answer you back either by phone or e-mail. Hope this helps.

--CKL--

Maybe take a good picture and send it to Acura via mail rather than email. As much as I like email, I think this is one of those things (and this is an industry) which still handles this better via snail mail.

Those are paint chips. I have them all over the front of my 1997 3.2TL (same color). Rocks, sand, etc. chips the paint. Even colored wax/polish doesn't help.

Go to http://acura.com and sign up to keep track of your car (recalls, history, maintainance, etc.). Tony,

what did you do about it? did you ask Acura why the paint chipped so easily and demand some sort of warranty work to fix that? Perhaps to repaint it?

No repair. It's rocks. Going 40-60mph. It's cheaper to get a bra for the car. I should have gotten one before the damage.
