I've been away for 4 months and my 95 Civic has only been started about 3 times since I left. I got back 2 weeks ago and started driving it again. It now has overheating problems. The needle will go all the way up and all the way back down really quick. . I changed the thermostat but it was still overheating. I drove it about 30 miles from my house to an interview, and it was overheating and sputtering really bad. About 15 miles out, the needle went all the way up and wouldent go back down. I was driving back to my house and my top radiator hose blew completely apart. I had it towed to a shop, and they couldent figure out what was wrong with it. The hose was replaced so I drove it back home. On the way back it started overheating and sputtering again. When I got back home, I started checking things out for myself. I started with the spark plugs. I took the 1st one out, and it was fine. When I pulled the wire from the second plug, it had oil all over it. I took the plug out and it seemed to be fine. I cant tell if the oil came from the cylinder or the cylinder head cover. There was no oil inside the sparkplug. The other two plugs were fine. It was just the one cylinder. My oil level is fine and it has no water in it.
If anybody has any ideas to what they think is wrong would help me out allot. (IMG:
