I am considering buying a small trailer to tow with my 2003 CR-V. Web info says I will need a Tail Light Converter because the CR-V has (amber) turn signals that are separate from the brake lights.
The Honda (optional) Trailer Light Harness plugs into a connector behind the left panel in the cargo area and extends a pigtail out under the bumper with a connector for the trailer. The Honda Trailer Light Harness has a built-in 'converter'.
Can anyone tell me what it does? Is it a Tail Light Converter? Can you point me to a website where I can see a wiring diagram of the harness?

Got mine from the hitch dealer. Plugs right into the socket behind the panel. I redid it a bit to run outside the car to the hitch, but it is just wiring. no converter, really. I would assume our '99 is similar.
I think it was made by Valley, or another hitch maker. Almost any hitch dealer should have it, or be able to order it.
