Hi, I was looking to get opinions of anyone who has used or is
using the P205/70TR-15 Kumho I Zen Stud KW-11 Snow/winter tire
offered by Tire Rack on there website. I am currently running Yoko
Avid Touring which perform quite well overall but i wanted to use a
winter tire this year without the expense of a Blizzak or Michelin A
A ........Thanks Al

Good tire, no problem with them on my CR-V. I have already posted a better response from my home PC but it looks like it didn't get  sent. I'll log on later today so it gets sent.

Hey there,

I bought a set of these for $150 (Canadian) last year with less then 10,000kms on them (from my sister). I have absolutely no complaints with them. They pull through the snow and ice and hold the road very well. I have been climbing a hill regularly (the shortcut to my house) and she pulls up over it just as good as my 4x4 GMC pickup which has very luggy winter tires as she is used for plowing.

P.S. I think this is the same model... I can say for sure that they are Kumho tires with a name that is similar if not the same. Too stormy outside now but I'll check tomorrow when I am forced to go outside for wokr. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

After being used for 2 full winters these tires are starting to let me down. I can still plow through the snow and climb long icy dirt hills (a couple hundred feet at very steep inclines!) but turning on snow covered roads has become a problem. I am now looking at getting a new set of tires. My girlfriend ended up doing a 180 yesterday at slow speeds on the main road through out community.

The problem I am having with these tires is that the treads aren't cleaning themselves, making for a nice smooth tire with a bunch of little spikes (studs) sticking out.

This is one set I am looking at
http://www.hankooktireusa.com/dynamic/rt01at/zoom.html

Kinda aggressive, but highway use???... I dunno. Also they are a size up from the stock size.

I am also looking at
http://www.hankooktireusa.com/winter/w404/....html (the W403 model, which I can't find on this site).

Almost not aggressive enough if you ask me.

Any suggestions or comments?

Rene
