I thought id never do it but im getting into hondas. i have a 94 ex with an auto transmission that just went out. it gives off a nice purring sound when started. i have a friend with a 94 single cam with a manual trans. i was wondering if it would be worth it to put in the swap or if i should just stay with the dohc and put a remanned auto trans in it. im pretty sure the single is better but i have a small budget and live in an apt so no garage. if i put the single cam and man trans in will it bolt right up with now problems or is there fabrication other then the clutch/slave/shifter? any suggestions or help is appreciated

what kind of car does your friend have? the one that the engine is coming from?

also, do you like not having to worry about switching gears while driving, or do you like to have fun while driving? manuals are typically better on gas as well.

This is my question about manual and automatic. Can you switch from manual to an automatic? I didn't think you could do that. If the car was made as a a manual then that what it stays. But if it's an automatic then it stays an automatic. I love the automatic, but I love shifting gears more. The best car I ever shifted was a Toyota Camry V6. It shifted like butter from one to the other.

As you have said you have don't have enough money to do a swap... So, earn it first then that's the time you should ask us about the swapping because it takes a lot of bucks to do a tranny swap on a Honda.
