Relieved to be out of Chrysler T&C and into a new Odyssey, what a difference! I noticed immediately that around town, when I step off the accelerator, noticeable drag can be felt, engine braking as if downshifted. This is not dramatic, I had to point it out to my wife, but I just want to make sure there is no problem. Is this displacement management in action? Is it normal? No brake noise, touchiness, or fade noticed at this point (under 300mi).

Any opinions appreciated....thanks!

I just bought my 2008 Odyssey last week, and mine does the same thing. My Dad complains about this feature in his Acura RL. I think this is a Honda feature on its engines? I find it annoying.
