I got a 2002 silver CR-V EX AT in mid march. So far it has 2k miles. Overall, I like this vehicle. On the other hand, it's by no means perfect. Here are a few things that I like and also things that can be improved for the CR-V.
Pros: More horsepower and more torque than the 1st generation CR-V. Great acceleration. Good gas milage. Nice handling and cornering. Great design for the rear seats (sliding, folding, etc). Generous room for passengers. Large cargo space. Clever designs such as the parking brake. Very safe (5 stars in all categories in crash test). Great price for the package offered (moonroof, 6 CD changer, side airbags).
Cons: Engine light came on after 200 miles (light was off after reset by dealer but software fix is yet to arrive). Picnic table rattles on bumpy road. Little room to put my left foot. The storage space below the stereo doesn't fit CDs - so I took out old tapes to fill it. The gear selector gets in the way of chaning radio stations. The center tray table doesn't feel very sturdy. AC has to be manually turned off after switching from defrost to other vent positions. Rear glass doesn't respond to remote well. The area of black plastic mold is too large in the back (the front is good). The front lights still look a bit odd, might be ok from the front, but strange from the side. The tires look too small.
