Can I get some friendly legal/financial s2000 advice?
I just found out I'm getting laid off my job next month (after six years).
If I can't find another job in Oregon, does anybody know of any way to lower
my lease payments to honda finance, or do I have to go bankrupt to get out
of/change the next 30 months of payments @ $600/mo? There's no way I can
afford this car and rent if I don't line something up that pays really well.
And no, the S2000 is a little too small to live in!
I think I might be able to cancel my 7 year extended warranty to lower my
payments a little bit... and my severence check should cover me for a few
months + unemployment...
I want to try to keep the s2000 but if I can't afford it, they will probably
have to take it back. Am I just screwed for the remaining $17,000 of lease
obligation, payments or what? Nobody will want to take over my lease at
$600/mo for a 2001.
PSS: It's also perfect timing that both my rear tires need replaced very
soon - anybody know a decent performing tire/store that doesn't cost a
bunch?
screwed myself, :(
