I have a 2000 Civic DX, the only engine modification I made so far was a ractive intake. I need all the advice I can get to make my DX keep up to atleast an EX.

what you need to do first is dump the stock exhaust....the whole thing from header to tailpipe. the dx's have the D16Y7 engine with the close coupled cat that is a solid unit with the header, so you need to dump it all. if your interested in putting an aftermarket exhaust on your dx and getting some real power....130hp and i have the dyno results to prove it....let me know, i'll lay it out for you..

it makes a little noise but it depends on what type of exhaust your runnin. i have all DC Sports...header and stainless cat-back. it sounds REALLY sweet. not to loud just nice. i'll e-mail you the dyno chart tonight. trust me it's worth every penny. it will turn your no-power dx into a some power ex. there are a few minor modifications you have to make to add a new cat to your car but nothing your couldn't tackle in a afternoon.
