hey guys im noticing my muffler get gradually louder. last oil change i rolled under there and noticed its breaking up where the pipe joins the canister on the rear muffler. I thought about just welding it up to make it last another couple of months but i dont really feel like messing with it. I want to get a stainless one for it, but at the same time i want to maintain its quietness. I could stand it to be a little bit louder, but not much. Im wondering if anyone knows anywheres where i could land one? I know some places where i can get the oem version, but i was hoping for stainless. I think im also going to do the rear struts while im back there, because its starting to bounce a little to much to my liking. i think im going to go with ebach, cause they have a set for it that are just like oem, no lowering. (frequently have friends in the car, so i want to keep my clearence) if any one has any other suggestions let me know. post here or shout out to valmasj@... thanks josh

Josh, you mentioned something about sellin the vig a few months back. threw out the idea of an integra or....?? fleeting thought? or still considering? maybe not for a couple of months? I gots nuthin for ya on the muffler end. I've never done anything with mine - still factory muff. sorry... but i am curious about the eibach shocks you mentioned. i didn't realize they made them for the vig. I've got a set of eibach springs, and one reason i haven't put them on yet is because i haven't found a *good* set of matching struts/shocks yet! got any links or more info on those? random thought - I don't mind the stock ride height either - but I would guess (this is only a guess) that even though the eibach lowering springs would reduce the clearance, it would also SEVERELY reduce body travel... so in effect, if you had 2 people in back, you'd probably maintain MORE clearance with an eibach spring than the factory spring. Honda is notorious for soft rear springs... peace, diesel

well thats the thing, i thought about getting rid of it, and i was pretty serious there for ahwhile. i started looking at integras, and then sat in the back of one, and it was actually almost worse than the vigs are in the back. so then I decided to fly with a 3.2tl, mostly because of how beautiful they are and how good they ride/handle. but the problem with those is that they dont come in a manual tranny, just a sport shift, which i could probably get a long with, but its just not the same. so i kinda tossed the idea till spring, figured id hammer this one through the winter's weather and salt and save a season on the new one. then came along the acura tsx, which is due out at the end of this year. have you seen the specs for that yet? im going to try to get to a car show to get a closer look at it, but acura's sight has a debuet on it. car looks so incredibly hot. so i think im going to start making payments towards it now, so that depending on what they start out it, i might be able to afford one. it looks like such a cherry car tho. i guess i might as well just go with a after factory muffler. i think im going to let it fall off first tho, cause its really not that loud right now.=) josh
